At OffKit, we believe in transparency about data collection. This privacy policy explains our approach: The OffKit app does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. It uses only Apple’s on-device Screen Time (Family Controls) APIs to block apps you choose.

Information We Don’t Collect

The OffKit application does not collect, store, transmit, or share:

  • Personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
  • Usage data or analytics
  • Scenario names, app choices, or blocking settings (except locally on your device)
  • Crash reports or error logs (unless you use system-level crash reporting)
  • Device identifiers or any other technical or personal data

How OffKit Works

OffKit operates on your iPhone or iPad using:

  • Screen Time / Family Controls: Apple’s built-in APIs to block apps and categories. All blocking is enforced on your device; we do not receive this data.
  • Local storage: Your scenarios, app selections, and settings are stored only on your device (e.g. via SwiftData). They are not sent to our servers because we do not operate any backend for the app.
  • In-App Purchases: If you subscribe to OffKit Pro, payment is processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Apple may provide us with anonymized subscription status for support purposes, in line with App Store Connect.

Network Activity

The OffKit app’s only network activity related to your usage is:

  • Communicating with Apple’s servers for in-app purchases (subscription and restore). This is handled by the system; we do not see or store your payment or account data.

We do not run our own analytics, tracking, or backend services for the app.

Website Analytics

This website (offkit.eu) may use basic analytics (e.g. to understand visitor traffic). Such data is separate from the OffKit app and may include browser type, general location, and page views. If we use third-party analytics, we will describe them here and in a cookie or consent notice where required.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app does not collect personal data.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data from the app, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete from our systems. You can:

  • Delete the app at any time to remove all local data (scenarios, settings) from your device.
  • Manage or cancel your OffKit Pro subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Contact us with any questions about this policy or OffKit’s practices.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we change this privacy policy, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify users via the app or website. The current version will always be available at this URL.
